Matthew 16:13-19
Called, Chosen, Faithful

This message explores Jesus' true identity, revealed not by human understanding but by God, as confessed by Peter: "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God". This revelation is the rock on which the Church is built, giving believers authority and access to the "keys of the kingdom". Jesus, the prophesied Messiah and Word made flesh, demonstrated divine power, yet was crucified—an act that paradoxically made Him the cornerstone of salvation.

The Church, comprised of those who have been with Jesus, must reflect His light daily, living worthy of their calling. Believers are "lively stones" and "ambassadors," a "chosen generation" called to showcase God's praises after being brought from darkness into light. Despite being "earthen vessels" facing troubles, the power they possess is from God, ensuring they are not destroyed. Ultimately, the Lamb will overcome, and those with Him are affirmed as "called, and chosen, and faithful".
